Fans of the Green Bay Packers did not hide their excitement as soon as it was announced that the team acquired defensive end Micah Parsons via a trade with the Dallas Cowboys.

With his elite skills and high motor, many view Parsons as the final piece of the puzzle. His arrival signaled a more relentless defensive crew for Green Bay.

On Thursday, the three-time All-Pro member helped the Packers defeat the Washington Commanders, 27-18, at Lambeau Field to notch back-to-back wins to start the season.

Parsons finished with two total tackles and three hurries, while also providing extra energy to the defensive unit. After the game, he admitted that he gets impatient during snap counts.

“Can’t hold a dog back forever,” said the Packers star, as quoted by The Athletic's Matt Schneidman.

Parsons' combativeness has fueled him to become one of the most feared defenders in the NFL. Like most fierce competitors, he doesn't want to waste any time in punishing his opponents.

Even before facing the Commanders, the 26-year-old enforcer was confident that Green Bay's “horse engines” on the defensive end could be the game-changers.

“I don’t see anybody outrunning me from the edge and stuff,” said the former Defensive Rookie of the Year in a video posted by USA Today's Ryan Wood.

The Packers held the Commanders to just 11 yards in the first quarter. Washington didn't see the endzone until a pair of touchdowns in the final period. Green Bay, however, held on despite the comeback attempt to start the season 2-0 for the first time since 2020.

The Green and Gold defeated the Detroit Lions in Week 1, 27-13. In his debut for his new squad, Parsons contributed a sack and a solo tackle.

So far, he has fit in nicely with the Packers, as he's hellbent on seeking redemption after the Cowboys refused to give him a lucrative contract extension.
