The Green Bay Packers finally have a new head coach with the 2018-19 campaign technically still ongoing. Infamously firing former head coach Mike McCarthy after the team was unable to reach the postseason for the second straight year, the Packers have since officially hired former Los Angeles Rams and Tennessee Titans offensive coordinator Matt LaFleur.
With LaFleur now in line to begin his first season as a NFL head coach, the 39-year-old has a mere two seasons of being an NFL offensive coordinator under his belt, and he didn't call plays for the Rams. Nonetheless, at least one former Packers player believes that it was time for a change in Green Bay.

Getting everybody on the same page, so the players can go out there and play fast and not think. Just go out there and dominate once again.”
Despite the fact that McCarthy once led the Packers to a Super Bowl title, it began to appear as though things were becoming more stale by the day in Green Bay under the direction of the team's longtime leader.
“I think they can turn it around pretty quick,” Collins added. “Starting at the top with Mark Murphy and the rest of the guys, and the coach and the coaching staff, the players. Everybody's just got to buy into the system and they got the talent. A lot of young talent and obviously got one of the best quarterbacks in the NFL, if not the best quarterback in the NFL. Just go out there and just execute and make plays, get off the field on defense and win games.”
