Green Bay Packers wide receiver Randall Cobb was spotted wearing a walking boot at an airport last month due to an ankle injury. While Cobb was expected to be ready for Week 1 of the regular season, the injury still cast some doubt as to whether he would be ready for the start of training camp, which begins next week.
Luckily, Cobb is now out of his walking boot, which he claims was for protection, and is back to doing some drills, per Chris Roth of WBAY. Cobb also assured everyone that he will play a part in camp.

Although, Cobb says he’s still unsure as to whether he’ll have some restrictions on him when he does participate. He is yet to have that conversation with the team’s medical staff but says he feels “great.”
The fact that Cobb will be ready at some point during training camp should be good news for the Packers, who will be counting on the veteran wideout to perform this season. Cobb is set to assume the No. 2 receiver role behind Davante Adams this year now that Jordy Nelson is gone.
Cobb is coming off a down year in 2017 as he finished with just 66 catches for 653 yards and four touchdowns. He also didn't perform too well in 2016 as he was slowed by injuries. But with a relatively young receiver depth chart outside of him and Adams, the Packers are counting on him to once again be the productive receiver he was earlier in his career.
