The Green Bay Packers made one of the most shocking moves in the first round of the 2020 NFL Draft. While many thought they would end up pursuing a wide receiver with the pick, the Packers had other plans. Instead of taking a wideout like Clemson star Tee Higgins, the Packers chose to trade up to the No. 26 overall pick to select Utah State quarterback Jordan Love.

Love is an excellent prospect and many think he has a very bright future ahead of him, but the Packers already have superstar quarterback Aaron Rodgers. Green Bay was just one win away from the Super Bowl last season. They finished the 2019 season with a 13-3 record.

Being so close to a Super Bowl is difficult to accomplish. However, the fans in Green Bay are upset because the team brought in a player that won't have a chance at playing for at least three years instead of focusing on winning now. There are reasons to be excited and upset about the selection of Love.

All of that being said, the Packers still have plenty of draft to address the issues that their roster had last season. There are still plenty of talented wide receivers available that would add more help for Rodgers now.

Speaking of help that Green Bay could find for Rodgers, there is one player in particular that would do the trick in the second round. Last season, the Packers only had Davante Adams as a real weapon for Rodgers. Allen Lazard showed potential and there is no denying the potential that Marquez Valdes-Scantling possesses, but the Packers were missing speed.

Brian Gutekunst needs to find a legitimate speedy slot wideout at some point in this draft. Thankfully, the answer could come in the form of Penn State standout wide receiver K.J. Hamler.

Hamler put together a solid season with the Nittany Lions in 2019, catching 56 passes for 904 yards and eight touchdowns. He averaged 16.1 yards per reception. Green Bay's offense would suit Hamler's skill-set perfectly.

Standing in at 5-foot-9 and just under 180 pounds, Hamler is a small target, but his speed makes all the difference. He can make plays in the open field and would be a player that Matt LaFleur could utilize in many different ways. Hamler wouldn't be a one-move fix for the Packers' offense, but he would help fans calm down quite a bit if he is available at No. 62.

Remember the role that Randall Cobb once had in Green Bay's offense? Hamler could easily assume that kind of a role. He could make plays across the middle and burn defenses deep from time to time.

Obviously, the big question is whether or not Hamler will be available that late in the second round. Gutekunst may have to move up again to ensure that he gets him, but it would be well worth the move. Hamler would be exactly what the Packers' offense needs moving forward.

All of that being said, it will be interesting to see what moves the Packers end up making on Day 2 of the 2020 NFL Draft. Hamler may not end up in Green Bay, but it would be a great fit for both sides.
