The Houston Texans lost in their first-round matchup against the Indianapolis Colts by a score of 21-7.

Texans head coach Bill O'Brien had nothing but positivity to share about his team’s direction moving forward.

DeShaun Watson came into this second season with the Texans with a desire to improve and lead this Texans team to a playoff appearance. It worked to a charm, as Watson had an excellent season under center.

After Week 7 he only threw two more interceptions on the year. His decision making drastically improved as the season went on. His ability to escape from the pocket, evade pressure and scramble for a few yards makes him such a dynamic player

On the season as a whole Watson threw for 4,165 yards with 26 touchdowns and only 9 interceptions. He averaged 260.3 yards thrown per game, had a completion percentage of about 68.3 percent, and had a QBR of 63.o. He also ran for 551 yards with five touchdowns on the year and averaged 5.6 yards per carry.

The Texans overall on the season played extremely well. Having a defense where Jadeveon Clowney and J.J. Watt to force pressure constantly at the point of the attack made them one of the best defenses in the NFL.

The Texans on the season went 11-5 and won the AFC South Division. In the regular season, they averaged 25.1 points per game, which ranks 11th in the entire league. Their defense is what really carried them. They allowed only 19.8 points per game, which ranked 4th in the NFL.

The Indianapolis Colts will now go onto to play the Kansas City Chiefs in their round two matchup.
