In the days leading up to the Houston Texans Week 8 matchup, the front office traded Mark Ingram away to the New Orleans Saints. Star wide receiver Brandin Cooks was vocal about his displeasure with the trade when it initially happened.

Now, after the Texans' tough loss to the Los Angeles Rams, Brandin Cooks voiced his frustrations about the Mark Ingram trade again, per Aaron Wilson. However, this time around, Cooks seemed to understand the business side of the NFL after having time to think about the situation.

Clearly, Cooks has built a solid relationship with Ingram. The two played as the top weapons on a porous Texans offense. Luckily for Ingram, he left Houston for a better situation via trade. Brandin Cooks was obviously bothered by the move, as he lost a friend of his for the remainder of the season.

Brandin Cooks himself has been involved in some trade rumors as well. With the Texans being one of the worst teams in the league, the front office must consider selling their top players for as many picks as possible. With the legal issues surrounding Deshaun Watson, Cooks is the most valuable trade asset on Houston's roster.

Even so, it seems the team isn't too keen on trading Cooks away the way they did Mark Ingram. The Houston Texans have no hope of making the playoffs and will be waiting for the offseason to make more moves. It's a smart decision, as they'll have a better understanding of exactly which draft picks they'll be receiving.

Making trades in the midseason is normally a risk, as the draft picks are unclear. We should be seeing Brandin Cooks follow Mark Ingram's footsteps soon and get traded at some point as well. For now, Cooks is missing Ingram, and it doesn't seem like the Texans will be making another trade before the deadline. Only time will tell.
