Houston Texans wide receiver Brandin Cooks was not happy that the team traded veteran running back Mark Ingram to the New Orleans Saints, and he made his feelings known on Twitter. Cooks himself is now involved in trade rumors, but he looks much less likely to be on the move.

While teams have called the Texans about Cooks' availability, Ian Rapaport over at NFL.com reports a desire to keep him around:

Teams have called about Cooks, and those likely increased after his dissatisfaction with the trading of good friend Mark Ingram. But the productive Cooks is the kind of player the Texans want to build around, not trade. Don't expect him to be available. Caserio is always open to discussing a deal, but doesn't sound like one for Cooks will happen.

Houston has been a train wreck this season with the Deshaun Watson situation hovering over them and Tyrod Taylor getting injured in Week 2. The Texans have been getting blown out on the regular with Davis Mills at quarterback, losing six straight games to sit at 1-6.

Despite the poor quarterback play, Cooks has been rather productive. He leads Houston in receptions (45) and receiving yards (502) by a very wide margin, though he has only managed to find the end zone once.

Cooks might not be thrilled with how things are going with the Texans, but they seem to like the idea of him being a building block on offense. They just need to figure out this whole quarterback thing.
