After making it abundantly clear that he wants out of the Houston Texans, Deshaun Watson has unsurprisingly been the stuff of headlines of late. In the wake of all the trade rumors, Brett Favre, one of the greatest quarterbacks of all time, provided some unsolicited advice for the embattled Texans star.

Favre admitted that he is “old school” and that he comes from a different school of thought, which is why he doesn't necessarily agree with how Watson has been handling things:

“You get paid a ton of money to do a certain job, and just do it, and let the chips fall where they may,” Favre said on a interview with Minty Bets of Yahoo Sports. “I think we make too much money to voice an opinion, but I'm not saying he's wrong. Again I think it's a different day and time, and it'll be interesting to see how the organization handles it. “

Favre did not mince words with his message here, and it is clear that he isn't taking Watson's side in this matter. Favre is one of the greatest to ever do it, so when he speaks, we are obliged to listen to what he has to say.

For his part, Watson hasn't been shy about his incessant desire to jump ship. He is clearly unhappy with his situation in Houston, and has come out with a come-get-me plea for the rest of the league. Being one of the top QB's in the game today, the three-time Pro Bowler will have no shortage of suitors in the offseason.
