Houston Texans quarterback Deshaun Watson is definitely in the thick of the NFL MVP conversation. The former first-round pick once again led his team to victory on Sunday, and DeAndre Hopkins was impressed.
The Texans put together a big second half en route to defeating the Oakland Raiders. Watson not only led Houston to yet another win, but he also tossed one of the more impressive touchdown passes in recent memory as well.
Texans wide receiver DeAndre Hopkins did not catch this otherworldly touchdown pass, but the prolific pass catcher was amazed, to say the least.

Even if he couldn't see out of that eye, he wasn't going to come out of there.”

Watson, Hopkins and the Texans are now 5-3 on the season and sit two games above the .500 while it looked like the AFC South franchise would ultimately fall back down to even as the Raiders led for most of the Sunday afternoon affair in Houston. Nonetheless, the Texans sit just out of first place in the AFC South right behind the pesky 5-2 Indianapolis Colts, who managed to outlast the Denver Broncos in Week 8.
It is also worth noting that the AFC South has become one of the tougher divisions in all of football with the entire group winning on Sunday. In addition to the Texans and Colts, the 4-4 Tennessee Titans and 4-4 Jacksonville Jaguars each captured victories this week.
