Houston Texans star quarterback Deshaun Watson, who had a phenomenal season in the 2019 campaign, claims Houston will win “a lot of championships.”

This past season, Watson went 10-5 as a starter, passing for 3,852 yards, 26 touchdowns, and 11 interceptions. Additionally, he recorded outstanding numbers in the playoffs, passing for 388 yards, two touchdown passes with one touchdown run in the AFC Divisional Playoff Game.

In April, the Texans exercised a $17.3 million fifth-year 2021 club option for Watson. It's a move that the Texans were intending to do in order to secure a longer-term deal. Furthermore, Texans head coach Bill O'Brien has repeatedly expressed the belief that Watson will be secured with a long-term contract in the near future. According to the Houston Chronicle, Watson is expected to wind up in the $40-$42 million annual figure.
