Houston Texans star defensive tackle J.J. Watt and his wife, women's professional soccer player Kealia Ohai, are giving back to the Houston community in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic.
Adam Schefter of ESPN reported the two are donating $350,000 to the Houston Food Bank, providing over one million meals to those in need throughout the area:

This act of generosity and philanthropy is not uncommon from Watt.
The five-time First-Team All-Pro helped raise an astonishing $41.6 million in relief efforts to help rebuild the city after Hurricane Harvey ravaged the Houston area in 2017. It marked “the largest crowdsourced fundraiser in world history,” according to the Watt foundation.

While nearly every major professional sporting league was shut down due to the pandemic, the NFL is only just getting started. League officials have proclaimed that the 2020 calendar–set to officially begin on Wednesday–will indeed start on schedule. However, the NFL canceled its annual meeting with league owners as a precautionary measure.
Watt had another frustrating year as he dealt with a torn pectoral that forced him to miss half of the regular season. Although it was expected Watt would miss the remainder of the year, he made a triumphant return for the Texans in the playoffs.
The Texans will hope their defensive anchor remains healthy in 2020. In any case, they must certainly be proud of the work he has done for the community.
