Indianapolis Colts general manager Chris Ballard isn't ready to commit to Jacoby Brissett long term. On Wednesday, when Ballard was asked about Brissett's future with the team, he said the jury is still out. He did add that he expects Brissett to be team's starting quarterback come Week 1 in 2020. However, things could change, and he is open to it.

There is a chance the team could draft a starter in April, or they could try to find someone during free agency to come in and bring Brissett some competition.
If Brissett does come back next season, he is going to need to improve in a big way, or the Colts will be missing out on the playoffs again. This season the Colts averaged only 194.3 yards per game through the air, which is 30th in the NFL. One of the big reasons the Colts passing game struggled so much was the team's inability to get the ball to T.Y. Hilton when he was healthy.

Brissett also didn't look entirely comfortable a lot of the time. He had trouble reading defenses and held the ball way too long. These are issues that are going to need to be worked on and fixed going forward.
This should be one of the bigger storylines surrounding the Colts this offseason.
