Indianapolis Colts place kicker Adam Vinatieri is no doubt headed for the Pro Football Hall of Fame once the former New England Patriots special teamer ultimately decides to hang up his cleats for good. However, Vinatieri encountered quite a rough stretch to start the 2019-20 season while it initially appeared as though the end was near for the longtime Colts place kicker.
Recently turning it around, not only does Vinatieri remain the Colts starting place kicker, but he has the support of team owner Jim Irsay.

Vinatieri and the Colts are now 3-2 on the season and own a share of first place in the AFC South division.
“The first couple weeks were kind of rough, but I’m kicking the ball much better over the last couple of weeks and getting it back,” Vinatieri said, via The Indy Star. “I warmed up well and felt good. Happy to have the opportunity to put a bunch on the board.”
The Colts notably defeated the previously undefeated Kansas City Chiefs as a result of Week 5's installment of Sunday Night Football. With the Houston Texans also at 3-2 and Jacksonville Jaguars and Tennessee Titans not too far behind at 2-3, the Colts win over the Chiefs — and biggest win of the season — seemingly came at the perfect time.
