The Indianapolis Colts are well on their way to competing for a Super Bowl trophy in the near future as their rebuild they appeared to be in the midst of is way ahead of schedule.
Colts owner Jim Irsay has very big plans for the team no matter how unrealistic they may be.
“I really feel like this is a young team that’s ascending,” he said at the league meetings last week.
A few minutes later, he took it further: “You guys know, I will unabashedly say, I’d like to win three in a row. How hard is it? I mean, it’s hard as hell just to win one.”
It is extremely hard to win one Super Bowl so Irsay is realistic in this aspect and it's likely every owner would like to see their team win three in a row.
The Colts are a very solid team, but three in a row is nearly impossible. The Colts are one of the top teams in the AFC, but teams like the New England Patriots and Kansas City Chiefs will do everything to make it back to the top of the division. Indianapolis has their work cut out for them, but as long as quarterback Andrew Luck is healthy, the team should strive.
Irsay has a lot to look forward to watching his team next season if last season was any indication of what to expect. The draft picks over the years are coming together for the team, and all the chips are beginning to fall in place for the Colts as they look to add another Super Bowl trophy to their repertoire.
