The 2020 NFL Draft was one to remember and with the draft being behind us, it's time to highlight how the results could affect next season. For the AFC South, each team could have a better sense of what their roster could look like in 2020.
Prior to the draft, the Indianapolis Colts made a splash move by signing Philip Rivers to become their next starting quarterback. While the Colts made an obvious upgrade, the Houston Texans made a head-scratching move, trading DeAndre Hopkins to the Arizona Cardinals.
The Tennessee Titans, for the most part, returned most of their roster from the postseason. As for the Jacksonville Jaguars, they traded Nick Foles and a trade involving Yannick Ngakoue seems inevitable. All that being said, here are the power rankings for the AFC South following the 2020 NFL Draft.
Indianapolis Colts
Besides the move to sign Rivers, the Colts also traded for DeForest Buckner in exchange for their first-round pick. After making Buckner their technical first-round pick, Indianapolis would select Michael Pittman Jr. and Jonathan Taylor with their first two picks.
With the addition of Pittman and Taylor, the Colts now have a dynamic offense put together. In the event that Rivers can give Indianapolis improved production from under center, the Colts should sit atop the AFC South in 2020.
Tennessee Titans
Just a season ago, the Titans were able to advance to the AFC Championship Game despite being the No. 6 seed in the AFC. After re-signing Ryan Tannehill and placing the franchise tag on Derrick Henry, Tennessee should continue to have a playoff-level roster.
The most notable picks the Titans made in this year's draft were Isaiah Wilson and Kristian Fulton. Provided that Tannehill performs similar to how he did in 2019, Tennessee should find themselves as a fringe playoff team again next season.

Arguably the most questionable move of the offseason was conducted by the Texans when they traded Hopkins to the Cardinals. Even though they got Brandin Cooks in a trade with the Los Angeles Rams, Houston still made a downgrade at the receiver position.
Over the course of the draft, the Texans added Ross Blacklock and Jonathan Greenard to bolster their defense. Despite having Deshaun Watson lead their offense, it's hard to envision Houston winning the AFC South again.
Jacksonville Jaguars
Without a doubt, the Jaguars enter the 2020 season as the worst team in the AFC South — and arguably in the entire NFL. It's evident that Jacksonville is undergoing a complete overhaul, moving on from starters from just last season.
At the least, the Jaguars were able to draft C.J. Henderson and Laviska Shenault in hopes to expedite the process. With that being said, it's probable that Jacksonville is competing for the No. 1 pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.
