Indianapolis Colts quarterback Andrew Luck is coming off a brilliant season after missing the entire 2017 campaign. Luck passed for 4,593 yards and 39 touchdowns which were not career bests, however he more than made up for it.

Luck had career high's in quarterback rating (98.7), completion percentage (67.3), passing attempts (430), and passing completions (639). Luck is undoubtedly the front runner for Comeback Player of the Year, and this was arguably his best season in his seven-year career.

Luck lead the Colts to a playoff appearance after starting off the season 1-5. The Colts then went on to win five straight games to get right back into playoff contention. The Colts defeated the Houston Texans in an AFC Wild Card game and went on to play against the Kansas City Chiefs at Arrowhead Stadium. Unfortunately, the Colts' luck ran out against the Chiefs, but the Colts far exceeded expectations this season.

Perhaps the biggest takeaway from this season for the Colts was the transformation of the offensive line. Considering Luck only played in seven games back in 2015 and had a career low in sacks with 15, he played every game this season, and the line only gave up 18 sacks on Luck. Most great teams have a great offensive line, and it's clear the Colts now have the offensive line they have been hoping for. The addition of rookies Quenton Nelson and Braden Smith set the line up for success, and both players looked like seasoned vets in 2018. Left tackle Anthony Castonzo and center Ryan Kelly had fantastic seasons as well, and overall the line allowed the fewest sacks in the league.

After the regular season, Pro Football Focus had the Colts offensive line ranked third overall in the league which was a massive jump from the struggles in recent years.

Of course, not all of Luck's success was solely due to the offensive line. The point being he had the success he had because he was finally given time behind the line and wasn't forced to make throws under pressure. Luck has always been a fantastic talent and has the potential on any given day to outproduce any quarterback in the league, but the offensive line up until this season has done him no favors. Luck's numbers prove that this is just the start of elite seasons for years to come.

With Luck's success and the offense clicking, all he can do from here on out is continue to build upon his fantastic 2018 season behind a great line and a great new head coach in Frank Reich. The Colts have a lot to look forward to in the future and could very well be the team to beat in the AFC South for years to come.
