The Jacksonville Jaguars are going to have a new-look offense in 2020 and apparently they want a fullback to be featured more prominently. According to ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Jaguars are signing ex-San Francisco 49ers fullback, Bruce Miller.

Miller began his career as a seventh-round pick out of Central Florida in the 2011 NFL Draft. The veteran fullback would spend five seasons with the 49ers and was once considered one of the best fullbacks in the NFL. However, an off-the-field incident in 2016 led to Miller's time in San Francisco coming to an end.
The former seventh-round pick hasn't played since 2015, making it possible he's not in NFL shape just yet. But seeing that the Jaguars released rookie fullback Connor Slomka to make room for Miller, they're confident enough to give him a chance. Slomka played his college football at Army and went undrafted in the 2020 NFL Draft.
During Miller's career with the 49ers, his best season came in 2013 when he caught a career-best 25 passes for 243 yards. Altogether, in his five years in the NFL, Miller contributed 76 receptions, 734 yards, and three touchdowns as a receiver. On top of that, he carried the ball 28 times for 62 yards and one touchdown on the ground.
With new offensive coordinator Jay Gruden, the Jaguars are going to have a different look on offense this season. Besides having Minshew as the team's full-time starter, Jacksonville expects to use a heavy dose of Leonard Fournette and the rushing attack. And with teams like the 49ers and Baltimore Ravens having success utilizing fullbacks, Gruden is attempting to feature one in his offense.
