Jacksonville Jaguars cornerback Jalen Ramsey has staked his claim as one of the league's best cornerbacks, but unfortunately the Jaguars couldn't come close to the success they had in 2017.

The Jaguars were eliminated from the playoffs with the first wave of teams and considering Jacksonville made the AFC Championship game last season, it was a disappointing season, to say the least.

According to Michael DiRocco of ESPN , Ramsey has his mind set on moving forward and focusing on next season since their last game was technically last year.

“I'm kind of just letting it go, man. Our last game was in 2018 and that's where I plan on leaving it and that's where I plan on leaving the season. I'm just enjoying the moment right now, being here in the Pro Bowl.”

Although the Jaguars were disappointing this season, Ramsey put on a great overall performance in 2018. Ramsey had a career-high 62 solo tackles, defended 13 passes, and intercepted three passes. Ramsey was a big part of the Jags' defensive success and although they struggled this season in comparison to last season, the defense still managed to finish top 10 in passing and scoring.

The Jaguars will look to get back to the top of the defensive ranks in 2019, but it's the offensive side of the ball that needs the biggest improvements. Quarterback Blake Bortles struggled greatly this season and was benched in the second half of the season. Running back Leonard Fournette was also hurt for most of the season.

It's worth noting that if the defense wasn't on the field so much, they may have been more effective.
