The Oakland Raiders fulfilled Antonio Brown's demand to be released from the team on Sunday. That didn't stop Brown from sending out a cryptic tweet following his release.

It seems as if Brown is saying he wasn't embraced during his short time in Oakland. However, the receiver didn't exactly do his best to be beloved by the fans or the team with his antics off of the field.

There was excitement and a sense of optimism when the Raiders first acquired Brown from the Pittsburgh Steelers. The Raiders surrendered just a third and fifth-round pick for Brown and seemed to be getting him at a premium price.

Now, the Steelers are the ultimate winners in the trade with the All-Pro wideout never playing in a game for Oakland. Throughout the offseason, Brown has constantly been in the news for everything besides his play on the field.

From the very beginning, the relationship between the Raiders and Brown never seemed genuine. Along with not feeling embraced by the Raiders organization, Brown seems like he is out for vengeance.

By being released by the Raiders, Brown can now go to any team that decides to take a risk on the disgruntled wide receiver. The 31-year-old receiver would love to go to a new destination and prove that he can still be one of the NFL's best at his position.

For that to happen, Brown is going to need to buy-in to a team-first mentality and focus on football. One person who could likely get that from him resides with the New England Patriots.
