It's no secret that Davante Adams is one of the best wide receivers in the NFL. He's expected to play a massive role for the Las Vegas Raiders in 2022 after linking up with former college teammate Derek Carr. It also appears that Madden NFL 23 thinks Adams is highly elite.

Hall of Famer Jerry Rice surprised Adams with a 99 rating for Madden NFL 23 after showing out last year. Check this out:

Davante Adams was caught entirely off-guard by Rice, who surprised him at his home. The Raiders wideout joked that it should be a 100 rating, but in all fairness, 99 is still unreal.

Adams had a big year in 2021, collecting 123 receptions for 1,553 yards and 11 touchdowns. He served as Aaron Rodgers' favorite weapon for many years on the Green Bay Packers but now he's taking his talents West. Knowing the chemistry he had with Carr at Fresno State, this is about to be one of the best receiver-quarterback duos in the league.

Also, Davante Adams is just the second Raiders WR since Randy Moss to earn a 99 rating, joining Randy Moss who did so in 2006. Via Bleacher Report:
