The Las Vegas Raiders selected wide receiver Henry Ruggs III with the 12th overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.

Ruggs III is considered one of the best prospects in this year's rookie class, and could be a great receiver almost immediately.

However, he is currently dealing with a leg injury.

According to Scott Bair of NBC Sports on Twitter though, Ruggs III has given an update on that leg injury. And it's one that should get Las Vegas fans excited.

Ruggs III admitted that he was doing more than he probably should have according to doctors. However, that got him ahead of schedule and he is now ready to go.

The Raiders' wide receiver even goes as far as saying he is 100% after the injury. He feels like himself, “if not better”.

That's exciting, and a great rookie season could be in his near future.

Las Vegas already has a solid quarterback in Derek Carr, one that could turn into a superstar quarterback if he gets his career back on the path it was on a few years ago.

The Raiders should have an explosive offense in 2020. Carr and Ruggs are joined by superstar running back Josh Jacobs. Hunter Renfrow and Tyrell Williams are great receiving options, and Zay Jones and Nelson Agholor are wildcards.

Of course, Darren Waller enjoyed a massive breakout year in 2019 at tight end and could be in for an even better 2020.

It is Ruggs III that a lot of people will be watching closely though. So the fact that he is completely healed from his leg injury before the start of the season is great news.

This gives him enough time to continue getting stronger, learn the playbook, and get acquainted with his teammates and coaching staff both on and off the field.

Now healthy, Ruggs III should be in store for a big rookie season.
