Washington Redskins cornerback Josh Norman has never been on to shy away from trash talk. However, he finally admitted that he might have been a bit overzealous toward Oakland Raiders wide receiver Amari Cooper.
Some may have recalled Norman's tirade in response to Cooper's alleged “trash talk” following Washington's win over Oakland in Week 3 of the 2017 NFL season. He revealed during an appearance on the “Glass Case of Emotion” podcast that it was all fabricated by defensive end Jonathan Allen.

“Nah man, I just really wanted to win, man,” Norman claims Allen told him in response.
“So I felt bad, I couldn’t take it back, so I’m apologizing now to you,” Norman said to the fan in conclusion.
It is a bit comical to see how easy it was for Allen to hype up his teammate. Needless to say, it certainly worked in Washington's favor that day. Cooper endured his worst game of the year after hauling in just 1 reception for six yards. Norman made sure to point this out following their 27-10 win. However, it appears to have all gotten blown out of proportion by a little white lie.
Allen was Cooper's teammate as well during their college days at Alabama. Unfortunately, their history together did not do the Raiders' wideout any favors. The incident also shows a more compassionate side of Norman. Although he is known as one of the best trash-talkers in the NFL, it seems even he has his code of ethics when it comes to who gets the brunt of it.
