The drama surrounding Oakland Raiders wide receiver Antonio Brown had taken a turn for the worst following his altercation with general manager Mike Mayock. It appears both sides have since been able to hash things out and move forward with the 2019 NFL season.

Despite talk of a potential suspension, Brown is expected to play against the Denver Broncos in Week 1. He offered up an apology to the franchise and expressed his excitement to get the season started, via Vic Tafur of The Athletic.

Brown missed the bulk of training camp and the preseason while dealing with frostbitten feet and the multiple helmet grievances against the NFL. As a result, he had been fined nearly $54,000 for the time he missed. He was clearly not shy about voicing his displeasure with the fine after taking to social media to reveal the letter signed by Mayock himself.

Ultimately, a dispute between the two ensured at practice. This resulted in plenty of speculation that Brown could be suspended, which would then put him at risk of losing up to $30 million in guarantees. There was even talk that his tenure in Oakland could be over before it ever started.

Fortunately, it appears both sides have been able to work things out for the time being. There is no question that this was hardly an ideal start to Brown's career with the Raiders. Regardless, they can take solace in the fact that they will seemingly be at full power against the Broncos in the season opener.
