Jared Goff and the Los Angeles Rams will head across the country to face the Pittsburgh Steelers in Week 10. Goff has recently shown flashes of being the quarterback that he was early in the 2018 season.
The Rams boast a 5-3 record and are attempting to get back into the hunt in the NFC playoff race. Their last two games, Los Angeles has defeated the Cincinnati Bengals and Atlanta Falcons.
Neither of the games were impressive victories but there is some momentum on the team with Jalen Ramsey having more time to get acclimated on the defense. Los Angeles is coming off of their bye week in Week 9 and Goff is expected to continue his level of play on Sunday.
As for the Steelers, they are surprisingly 4-4 and just took down the Indianapolis Colts at home in Week 9. It is never easy to win at Heinz Field and Goff is known to struggle outside of Los Angeles.
Provided that, here are three bold predictions for Goff against the Steelers in Week 10.
3. Goff will throw three touchdowns
Since the beginning of the season, Goff hasn't looked like the same quarterback he was in 2018. The California native has thrown for 11 touchdowns in his eight starts and has four games of throwing two touchdowns.
In light of that, the fourth-year starter has yet to have a game where he has thrown three touchdowns. On Sunday in Pittsburgh, Goff will throw three touchdown passes for the first time in 2019.
Over the course of his career, Goff has thrown 21 touchdowns and only three interceptions in the month of November. Goff will continue his success in the month of November in Week 10 against the Steelers.
2. Goff will throw for 300 yards
Currently, Goff is ninth in the NFL with 2,367 passing yards. In addition, the Rams' signal-caller has three 300-yard outings and two of them have occurred in his past four games.
Heading into Week 10, the Steelers defense has the 10th-ranked pass defense (228 yards per game). On top of that, Pittsburgh has only given up 200 passing yards to an opposing team once in the past five weeks.
The Rams' franchise quarterback will pick apart the Steelers' defense for 300 yards in Week 10.
1. Goff will complete 70 percent of his passes
When watching Goff play, there are throws that he makes that makes you scratch your head on how he was able to complete it. On the other hand, he also has throws that are extremely inaccurate to his wide receivers.
This year, Goff's season-high completion percentage is 67.9 percent against the New Orleans Saints in Week 2. Altogether, Goff has completed only 61.1 percent of his attempts in 2019.
Against the Steelers, the 25-year-old quarterback will complete more than 70 percent of his passes in a hostile environment at Heinz Field.
