There's no doubt that the Los Angeles Rams have undergone quite a few changes on both sides of the ball this offseason. After seeing the losses that the Rams have had this offseason, Aaron Donald shared his honest opinion on the team's overhaul.

Donald, who is entering his seventh season with the Rams, believes he can express himself and be honest with the front office and coaching staff (via Kevin Modesti of the Los Angeles Daily News):

“Part of becoming a leader and being part of this team is that you’re able to speak with these coaches and the people in the back rooms, and state your opinion … I’m here because I want to win. It’s not about individual goals or nothing like that. The goal is to be a world champion.

On the offensive side of the ball, Los Angeles released running back Todd Gurley before his new extension even kicked in. At the same time, the Rams elected to trade receiver Brandin Cooks to the Houston Texans for a second-round pick.

As for the defense, Los Angeles allowed defensive end Dante Fowler and linebacker Cory Littleton to move on and sign with other teams in free agency. In addition, the Rams chose to release linebacker Clay Matthews and cornerback Nickell Robey-Coleman in an attempt to create some cap space.

While the Rams lost a handful of starters, they were able to re-sign defensive tackle Michael Brockers after his contract with the Baltimore Ravens fell through. Still, Donald realizes that Los Angeles lost a ton of marquee players this offseason, adding,

“We definitely lost some big pieces to the puzzle. I think guys just need to step up and fill some big shoes.”

Without a doubt, Donald is going to do his part in helping replace the production lost in free agency. However, the All-Pro defensive tackle realizes that others are going to have to step up, too.
