After locking up Aaron Donald to a massive new deal, the Los Angeles Rams made sure to keep their checkbook out for Cooper Kupp. The superstar wide receiver just got his extension to run it back.

Kupp scored a record-breaking $75 million in guaranteed money from the Rams throughout the next three seasons. That total is the most for any wideout in the history of the game or for any non-quarterback offensive player, bar none.

Jalen Ramsey sure sounds hyped up by the news. The Rams cornerback knows just how much Cooper Kupp impacted winning for the Rams last season. It's hard to imagine them winning the Super Bowl without him.

Cooper Kupp was a dark horse MVP candidate last season. For that to happen for a non-QB he'd have to be having an all-timer of a season at his position. The Rams WR certainly did just that, piling on 141 receptions and an eye-popping 1947 receiving yards, the second most in a single season in NFL history.

It's definitely easier to pay your guys after winning it all the previous season. Handing out contracts acts like giving bonuses for a job well done from the previous year. But make no mistake, if Cooper Kupp can replicate the same impact for the Rams going forward, he'll be worth every penny.
