Since the Los Angeles Rams have made All-Pro running back Todd Gurley the highest-paid player in the league after inking him to a four-year, $60 million extension there has been much praise tossed his way from his teammates and coaches.
Among those is Pro Bowl quarterback Jared Goff stating that Gurley has been one of the best teammates that he has had due to his unselfish nature as a player that has made playing alongside him a greater experience, according to Lindsey Thiry of ESPN.
Beyond his stellar production on the field, Gurley has proven to be a great teammate that others enjoying being around due to how he carries himself. Head coach Sean McVay has earned much respect for his competitiveness and work ethic has elevated him to being considered as one of the best running backs in the league.
This helped him put together his most productive season in 2017 as he won the NFL Offensive Player of the Year award and also received serious consideration for MVP after he led the league with 2,093 scrimmage yards and 19 total touchdowns.
The fact that he has earned the respect and admiration from his teammates well beyond what he brings to the table as a player should speak volumes for the type of person he is. Gurley doesn't appear to have the typical superstar traits as he has the mindset of doing whatever is best for the team, it just happens to be that he's a major piece of the puzzle.
This should lead to him putting together yet another strong campaign as the leading offensive factor for the Rams' explosive offense.
