Los Angeles Rams running back Todd Gurley injured his knee during his team's loss to the Philadelphia Eagles last Sunday and exited the game.

However, the injury did not appear to be serious, and Gurley maintained throughout the week that he would be just fine.

It seems like Gurley was right, as Adam Schefter of ESPN is reporting that Gurley is likely to play in the Rams' game against the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday afternoon.

Gurley was named to his second straight Pro Bowl last week, as he has rushed for 1,251 yards and a league-leading 17 touchdowns thus far this season. In addition, he has hauled in 59 receptions for 58 yards and four scores.

The 24-year-old, who played his collegiate football at the University of Georgia, was originally selected by the Rams with the 10th overall pick of the 2015 NFL Draft.

It didn't take long for Gurley to stamp his name among the best running backs in the league, as he racked up 1,106 yards and 10 scores during his rookie campaign en route to a Pro Bowl appearance.

After a subpar 2016 season, Gurley rebounded with a terrific 2017, finishing with 1,305 yards and a league-best 13 touchdowns on the ground, making yet another trip to Honolulu. He also caught 64 passes for 788 yards while reaching the end zone six times.

Los Angeles has fallen on tough times recently, however. The Rams have lost two straight games to fall to 11-3, and their high-powered offense has totaled just 29 points in those two defeats.

That being said, Los Angeles still has an opportunity to clinch a first-round bye this weekend.
