The Los Angeles Rams looked like one of the best teams in the NFL through two weeks. For two quarters against the Philadelphia Eagles in Week 3, that sentiment looked sound. Then came the second-half collapse, which saw the Eagles block a game-winning field goal and return it for a touchdown.

Suddenly, the Rams, who currently sit in third place in the NFC West, have another challenge in front of them: The undefeated Indianapolis Colts. It may require all hands on deck to avoid a second straight loss.

On Friday, Rams head coach Sean McVay addressed the media, shedding some light on key injuries to wide receiver Davante Adams and tight end Rob Havenstein.

“[I] feel good about them being able to go on Sunday,” McVay said, per Rams reporter Stu Jackson.

Adams did not practice on Wednesday or Thursday, nursing a hamstring injury. Meanwhile, Havenstein has an ankle injury he is working through. But players returned to practice on a limited basis on Friday, a clear sign they are moving in the right direction.

Several other Rams players have been limited this week, but their status does not appear to be in jeopardy.

Adams is showing that even at 32 years old, he is still an elite playmaker. Through three games, he has 13 catches for 213 yards and two touchdowns. His presence also takes pressure and pulls coverage away from Puka Nacua.

On the Colts' side of things, they are likely without one of their receivers. Alec Pierce has not practiced all week with a concussion. Unless he is cleared by doctors, he will not suit up in the crucial clash.

The Colts have been the biggest surprise in the NFL this season.

Daniel Jones is playing phenomenal football in his first season in Indianapolis. Jonathan Taylor looks like the best running back in football. Even Michael Pittman is having a resurgent season.
