Todd Gurley signed a four-year, $60 million deal early this week that includes a whopping $45 million guaranteed. Having such a big contract means higher expectations and Gurley is going to have an even bigger microscope on him. Gurley told reporters on Wednesday that he doesn't feel any added pressure, even with such a big contract.

“No pressure,” Gurley told reporters on Pro Football Talk. “It’s the same thing I’ve been doing my whole life. You’ve just got to be able to be consistent and keep doing it at a high level. With coach [Sean] McVay as my coach, all these great weapons around me, I’m fully confident that we can do that for years to come.”

Many believed that Le'Veon Bell would be the one that would reset the market value for running backs. Instead, it's Gurley who has reset the value, and it makes the Bell contract discussions next offseason even more interesting.

Gurley also said he has no regrets not waiting to see what Bell got, and he is just happy to be locked up long-term in Los Angeles.

“I’m just happy we were all able to be on the same page,” Gurley said. “Just try to get it done now. Like I said, I wasn’t worrying about it too much. The Rams, they just did a phenomenal job on their part of being able to make this all come true for me. So, I’m happy to get it done early, out of the way. Like I said, just play ball from here on.”

The Rams have high expectations for this season and Gurley is gearing up to have another huge season, and the Rams need that if they want to reach their goals.
