The Los Angeles Rams were forced to play without Todd Gurley in Week 6 against the San Francisco 49ers due to a quad injury. It ended up being a big loss for the team, as they were unable to come away with a win. San Francisco took the game by a final score of 20-7.
Malcolm Brown did not get the job done and the Sean McVay offense never got going. Jared Goff couldn't move the ball and the panic is starting to set in for the Rams.
According to a report from Ian Rapoport of the NFL Network, Gurley has a “chance” to play in Week 7 for the Rams against the struggling Atlanta Falcons.

Los Angeles definitely does need Gurley. Even though he hasn't been the superstar back putting up massive numbers that everyone has grown accustomed to over the years, he is still valuable to the offense.
In the five games that he has played this season with the Rams, Gurley has carried the football 64 times for 270 yards and five touchdowns. He has also caught 14 passes for 68 yards on the year.
Those numbers may not look huge, but his presence on the field forces defenses to stay honest. It helps open up the aerial attack for Goff and company. His return in Week 7 would be a huge help.
The Rams have to get things back on track soon. They cannot afford to continue down the path that they have been on so far this season. At this point in time, the Rams are going to need to figure out how to get Gurley healthy and putting up big stats again.
