The Los Angeles Rams would love to get stud running back Todd Gurley for their playoff matchup next week as they wait to see which team they face out of the NFC Wild Card games.

Gurley was incredible this season for the Rams and haunted opposing defenses on a regular basis. However, he did miss the final two weeks of the regular season with a knee injury. The Rams didn't exactly miss Gurley too much considering backup C.J. Anderson was fantastic in Gurley's absence.

Gurley had 21 total touchdowns along with 1,251 rushing yards and 580 receiving yards. The Rams used Gurley as an every down back, and he kept his foot on the gas all season long, building upon the season he had in 2017. Since head coach Sean McVay took over as the team's head coach, Gurley has produced monster numbers as well acted as the face of the team's dynamic and explosive offense. Los Angeles is likely clicking their heels with the anticipation that Gurley is coming back to the team next week and the offense plays at an elite level with the former University of Georgia running back.

Los Angeles has lit the league on fire with McVay's revamped offensive mind, and the weapons they possess are almost unfair for opposing defenses. The absence of Gurley has hurt to a certain extent. C.J. Anderson is not an every down back and is nowhere near as effective as Gurley catching passes out of the backfield. Gurley is arguably the league's best running back and offers extreme playmaking ability upon his return.
