Who knew Los Angeles Rams pass rusher Von Miller is such a romantic? Well, when it comes to winning that is.
Regardless, Rams fans will certainly want to read his latest Instagram post where he vowed not only to reunite with the Lombardi Trophy but also bring it to LA for fans to see, feel and celebrate.
Miller won Super Bowl 50 with the Denver Broncos over five years ago, and by the looks of it, he's missing that feeling of lifting the Lombardi and standing at the highest stage of football.
“I’m coming back for you.. I promise. Life isn’t the same without you.. We spent All summer 2016 together and my life was so perfect. When I was with you everybody called me “CHAMP”. You boosted me. You made me who I am. Me being with you opened so many doors. I love and miss you so much I tatted your face on my thigh so I can always see you. I’ve been working so hard, day and night, 365 days a year just to have a chance to see you again,” Miller wrote on Instagram along with a video of him lifting the Lombardi Trophy in Super Bowl 50.
“I miss holding you in my arms and putting you up on a pedestal for the world to see. I’ve seen you with these other guys and they don’t love you like I do. I love you more than all of them put together. You belong to me. I don’t care what they say about me. I don’t care about them saying what I can and can’t do. I don’t care what it looks like at this moment. Just know…. I’m coming back for you.. I promise. Things have changed since I’ve last seen you. I have a beautiful baby boy named Valor I can’t wait for you to meet. I also have a new city and teammates that will love you just as much as I do. Just know.. I’m coming back for you.. I promise..”
If this doesn't hype up Rams fans, we don't know what will.
The Rams traded for Von Miller from the Broncos before the trade deadline last month, raising hopes that he could be the missing piece to lead the team to the Super Bowl. After all, he has someone who has won it and even took MVP honors on the way.
However, Miller's start with the Rams has been far from ideal. His presence has not really translated to wins, with Sean McVay's men losing three straight games now and dropping to 7-4 on the campaign–good for second in the NFC West.
Miller has eight tackles, two tackles for loss and one QB hit in the two games he has played for the Rams since his arrival. However, he has yet to record his first sack in LA uniform.
Indeed, for Miller to reunite with the Lombardi Trophy, this time with the Rams, he has to step up and inspire his team to do better as well. If there is someone who knows what it takes to win it all, it's definitely the 32-year-old star.
