The Miami Dolphins can get all the help they can get at this point in the offseason. With the Dolphins attempting to rebuild the team's roster from the ground up, it now appears as though that process has officially started under the direction of new head coach Brian Flores.

According to a recent report from Ian Rapoport of NFL.com, the Dolpins will be signing former Green Bay Packers pass rusher Jayrone Elliott. While a few seasons removed from the NFL, the veteran defender did just lead the Alliance of American Football in sacks with 7.5. Elliott is fresh off a stint with the Alliance of American Football's San Antonio Commanders while serving as an outside linebacker for the now terminated franchise.

Elliott has not suited up at the NFL level since back in 2016-17 while playing for the aforementioned Packers. Spending a total of three seasons in Green Bay between 2013-14 and 2016-17, the 27-year-old pass rusher previously spent his entire NFL playing career as a member of the heralded NFC North franchise. Now a member of the Dolphins, according to Rapoport, Elliott will bring his four career sacks to Miami en route to receiving another opportunity atop the highest level.
