What do you do after your first NFL appearance in your career? You sit on the field and soak it all in, of course. Following his first appearance in an NFL game, coming in for the final minutes of the Miami Dolphins' 24-0 win over the New York Jets, Tua Tagovailoa went back out on the field and sat on the 15-yard line, taking in the moment.
Tua Tagovailoa went back to the field and he’s sitting around the 15-yard-line in full uniform. It looks like he’s soaking this moment in.

While definitely not where he would have wanted to be at this point last season (even if he hadn't have gotten injured he may not have gone first overall following Joe Burrow's performance), the fact that Tua Tagovailoa was on an NFL field playing less than a year after his major injury is still incredible.
Following his hip injury last November, many were concerned the injury would end his career before it even began. Luckily for the fifth overall draft pick a surgery and rehab allowed him to get back onto the field today. Between him and Alex Smith the two of them have overcome huge odds to return to the game this season. It is still uncertain when Tua Tagovailoa will first start for the Dolphins.
Tua Tagovailoa threw two passes for nine yards in his first appearance with the Dolphins. He hopes this will be the first of many times he will step out onto an NFL field. The Dolphins next face the Los Angeles Rams following a bye week.
