As it's been reported on for weeks, the Miami Dolphins are shopping running back Kenyan Drake. According to Barry Jackson of the Miami Herald, they have two suitors for his services in the Tennessee Titans and Detroit Lions.

However, as of Friday morning, no team has been willing to meet the Dolphins' asking price of a fourth-round selection, per Jackson.

Said Jackson:

“Another source said even though multiple teams have inquired about Drake, the offers haven’t been attractive. One team discussed giving the Dolphins a seventh-round 2020 pick that could become a sixth if certain thresholds are met. Another was interested in dealing a late-round 2021 pick. But the Dolphins want more than that.”

Drake is on the final year of his rookie contract, which hampers his trade value significantly. Very few teams are willing to part ways with a chunk of their future for a possible rental.

The Lions look the part of the more likely team to trade for Drake, as starter Kerryon Johnson was recently placed on the injured reserve. Their backups include Ty Johnson, J.D. McKissic and Tra Carson.

Tennessee is an interesting possibility. Drake would not unseat Derrick Henry as the starter. He would be a compliment to their bell-cow as Dion Lewis has failed to do so as of late. Both Drake and Henry played together at Alabama. Henry was the first selected in the 2016 draft (second-round) with Drake following in the third.

Drake has never filled in as the Dolphins' main-back. However, he has played the part of a slippery threat in both the rushing and receiving realms. In 2018, he posted 1,012 yards and nine touchdowns from scrimmage. In 2019, he has 348 total yards and no scores on 69 touches.
