Dalvin Cook came into the 2019 NFL season looking to prove himself for the Minnesota Vikings after a disappointing year in 2018. He looked great in the preseason, which made Fantasy Football players jump on him in their draft. Following his Week 1 performance, there are extremely high expectations.

Last week against the Atlanta Falcons, Cook ended up carrying the football 21 times for 111 yards and two touchdowns. He also caught two passes for nine yards.

Now, there are quite a few Fantasy Football players wanting to know what they should expect from the Vikings' running back this week.

Minnesota will be going up against a Green Bay Packers defense that completely shut down the Chicago Bears last week. Mike Pettine and the Packers' defense did a good job against the run for the first time in a long time. That has made Cook's matchup in Week 2 even more intriguing and has made many question putting him in their lineup confidently.

Obviously, Cook is going to be played by almost anyone that has him on their team. Even though the matchup may be difficult, he is one of the most talented running backs in the league.

With all of that being said, what should Fantasy Football players be expecting from the Vikings' running back?

It's always hard to predict a game for a player. Minnesota did not put the football in the air very much in their season-opener against the Falcons. Cousins completed eight of his 10 pass attempts for just 98 yards and a touchdown.

There is a very good chance that the Vikings will end up passing the ball much more against the Packers. Cousins isn't going to average just 10 passes per game. Cook carried the ball 21 times in game No. 1 and that should remain about the same.

Predicting this week's production from Cook is a difficult thing to do, but it would be reasonable to expect him to carry the ball at least 15 times for 80 yards and a touchdown. It is likely that he will put up even bigger numbers. The ceiling for him this week should be around 20-25 carries for 100-110 yards and a touchdown.

Now, for PPR leagues, this could be an intriguing matchup as well. Minnesota may utilize the former Florida State star running back more as a receiver this week than they did in Week 1. He is more than capable of making in impact in that area of the game.

Needless to say, this is going to be a very intriguing week to have Cook in your lineup. He has big-time potential, but he also could end up leaving you with under 10 fantasy points. Either way, he is going to be played by the majority of the fantasy players that have him on their team.

Expect him to have a big role for the Vikings this week. Green Bay may have an improved defense, but there are many who still think the Packers overplayed their potential against the Bears. There is only one way to find out and that will be by watching the game this coming Sunday.
