If you're a Minnesota Vikings fan, you might want to look away right about now.

A new statistic just surfaced following the Vikings' 33-52 loss to the New Orleans Saints on Christmas Day.

Although the headlines were dominated by Alvin Kamara's historic six-touchdown performance, the Vikings managed to record a significant figure of their own. The only problem is that it is significantly negative.

According to ESPN Statistics and Information, the Vikings are just the ninth team in NFL history to have a 1,500+ yard rusher and a quarterback to have over 30 touchdowns in the same season in Dalvin Cook and Kirk Cousins, respectively. But here's the bad part: All the other eight teams won at least eight games, but the Vikings are going to finish the season with a losing record, currently with a 6-9 slate.

NFL fans want to see the best players play on the biggest stage to show what they're really made of. Unfortunately, that won't be the case for any of the Vikings stars this year.

Cook has been lights out this season, undoubtedly cementing himself as a top five running back in the NFL. He has over 1,500 on the ground and a league-leading 16 touchdowns. Cousins' success, meanwhile, has been largely supported by phenomenal rookie wide receiver, Justin Jefferson, who has over 1,000 yards receiving and just got named to his first Pro Bowl. Yet, none of these guys will be suiting up past Week 17.

The Vikings just can't seem to get over the hump. With the Green Bay Packers leading the NFC, winning the division may be out of the question. But if Cousins and Mike Zimmer want to keep their jobs, the Vikings cannot afford another losing campaign.
