Stefon Diggs recently said he wants to stay and re-sign with Minnesota. And now, he's about to do exactly that.

According to Adam Schefter of ESPN, the Vikings wide receiver has agreed to a five-year extension worth up to $81 million with $40 million in guaranteed money, which he will sign Tuesday. Diggs will now be signed to the Vikings until 2023.

The 24-year-old Diggs is a former fifth-round pick by the Vikings in 2015. He has racked up 200 catches for 2,472 yards and 15 touchdowns over his first three seasons in Minnesota. He's coming off another strong year in 2017, putting up 64 catches for 849 yards and a career-high eight touchdowns.

Diggs has formed a formidable receiving duo with All-Pro wideout Adam Thielen, who signed a four-year, $22 million extension with $10 million guaranteed last year. The two will be expected to provide quality receiving options for new quarterback Kirk Cousins starting this season.

Diggs will forever be a part of Vikings lore after his dramatic game-winning touchdown in their playoff game against the New Orleans Saints, which was dubbed the “Minneapolis Miracle.”

Vikings GM Rick Spielman said in May that the team hoped to extend the contracts of Diggs, defensive end Danielle Hunter, and linebacker Anthony Barr. They've already sealed deals for the first two, so Barr is the only one left unsigned.

The Vikings have put together a promising core which will be together for the next few seasons and potentially compete for a Super Bowl. The likes of Diggs, Hunter, Cousins, Thielen, Dalvin Cook, Riley Reiff, Pat Elflein, Erik Kendricks, Linval Joseph, Everton Griffen, Danielle Hunter, Harrison Smith, and Xavier Rhodes are all under contract through at least 2020.
