Despite numerous shakeups in the offseason, Bill Belichick remains a solid pick to win NFL Coach of the Year in 2020. The New England Patriots’ head tactician is currently penciled as a 7-1 favorite by Caesars Sportsbook.

With Belichick at the helm since 2000, the Patriots have established themselves as a model organization, bagging six Super Bowl victories, 17 AFC East titles, and 19 consecutive winning seasons.

It will undoubtedly be a different challenge for Belichick in the upcoming season since two of his longtime reliables, Tom Brady and Rob Gronkowski, made their way to Florida to join the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Still, the Patriots have their talented core intact led by Super Bowl LIII MVP Julian Edelman and should continue to be a force to contend with in the AFC East.

“If [Belichick] takes that roster and wins that division, and no other team goes 16-0, how do you give it to somebody else,” exclaimed Caesars Sportsbook Director of Trading Jeff Davis, per ESPN.

New England is currently listed as favorites to win the division at -110 despite Brady and Gronkowski’s departures.

Bill Belichick’s three NFL Coach of the Year wins trail only Don Shula (four) in the all-time list.

“The only way he doesn't get it is if one of the teams that were terrible last year makes the playoffs,” added Davis.

Caesars Sportsbook’s second favorite to win the award is Dallas Cowboys head coach Mike McCarthy, who will be taking his wares to Texas after spending 12 years as the Green Bay Packers’ head tactician. He is currently listed at 9-1.
