New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady signed a new contract on Sunday that will keep him on the team for a couple more years, but that isn't something that coach Bill Belichick is too interested in chatting about.

Belichick was asked to talk about the new contract on Monday before the team's joint practice with the Detroit Lions and once again he was a man of few words.

“It’s always good to come to an agreement with a player, any player, so that’s a good thing. I’m not going to talk about the contract, so we’ll move on from that,” Belichick said via Pro Football Talk.

Even though Belichick didn't want to talk about the contract, he did throw some praise at the future Hall of Fame quarterback talking about how good he has looked so far in camp.

“Tom’s been very consistent throughout the course of his career. I think we’re off to a good start in training camp. We all have a long way to go, but Tom’s worked hard and put in a lot of time, a lot of work, as he always does. He’s very well prepared. So looking forward to just building through the season and getting better on a daily basis,” Belichick said.

Those are good comments to hear from Belichick, but is there anything else we really expected him to say?

Brady is a veteran and knows how to conduct himself during training camp so that he is ready when the regular season starts.
