Josh Gordon is technically still a member of the New England Patriots, but when he actually returns to the field is anyone's guess.
The wide receiver was suspended by the NFL yet again this past December in a season where he played double-figure games for the first time since 2013, hauling in 41 receptions for 737 yards and four touchdowns in 11 contests between the Cleveland Browns and the Patriots.
Patriots head coach Bill Belichick has been very coy when asked about Gordon, saying that it's beyond the team's control:
“We don’t have anything to do with Josh Gordon,” Belichick said, per Henry McKenna of Patriots Wire. “He’s suspended. You need to talk to the league. We have no control over Josh Gordon.”
New England acquired Gordon in a trade with the Browns during the middle of last September.

Shortly after Gordon's announcement, it was revealed that the wide out was hit with an indefinite suspension.
Gordon, who played his collegiate football at Baylor University, was originally selected by Cleveland in the second round of the 2012 NFL Supplemental Draft.
He went on to catch 50 passes for 805 yards and five touchdowns during his rookie year before breaking out in 2013, when he hauled in 87 receptions for 1,646 yards and nine scores en route to a Pro Bowl appearance and a First-Team All-Pro selection.
However, since then, Gordon has played in just 22 games due to a myriad of suspensions.
