As only Cam Newton can, he shared his appreciation for all of the well wishes in his distinct font on Instagram. Besides getting himself healthy, Newton says that he'll use this time to reflect on the things he's grateful for in his life.
Due to Cam Newton producing a positive COVID-19 test, the NFL was forced to push back New England's game against Kansas City. Seeing that Jordan Ta'amu of the Chiefs also tested positive, the league has postponed the game until Monday night.
In his first three games with the Patriots, Cam Newton has looked like the MVP version of himself in Josh McDaniels' offense. The Pro Bowl signal-caller has thrown for 714 yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions.
Along with his passing numbers, Cam Newton has rushed for 149 yards and four touchdowns to begin the season. There's no doubt that Newton's absence will be thoroughly missed versus Patrick Mahomes and the Chiefs.
With Cam Newton set to miss Monday's game, Brian Hoyer is expected to start in his place. The longtime backup has been the only other active quarterback on the roster behind Newton this season.
It goes without saying that we all wish the best for Cam Newton and Ta'amu as they recover from COVID-19. At the least, Newton appears to be in good spirits as he hopes to return soon for the Patriots.
