New England Patriots wide receiver Josh Gordon left his team's win over the New York Giants on Thursday after suffering a scary-looking knee injury while trying to tackle Giants linebacker Markus Golden during a fumble recovery.

But Patriots fans can breathe easy, as it appears that Gordon is just fine.

“The good news for the Patriots, though, is Josh Gordon was spotted in the second half riding the bike,” said Ian Rapoport of NFL Network. “That indicates one, he has a chance to come back. He ultimately did not, but he had a chance. And two, that it is not a major injury for Josh Gordon.”

No timetable has yet been set for Gordon, but it looks like New England avoided a potentially devastating injury.

Gordon logged one catch for seven yards before exiting the game. On the season overall, he has caught 20 passes for 287 yards and a touchdown in what has been an inconsistent first six games for the former Pro Bowler.

The 28-year-old initially joined the Pats in September 2018 after coming over in a trade with the Cleveland Browns. In 11 games with the Patriots last season, Gordon hauled in 40 receptions for 720 yards and three scores.

However, in December, Gordon announced he was stepping away from the game to focus on his mental health, and shortly after, it was revealed that the wide out was indefinitely suspended by the NFL for violating the league's drug policy.

Gordon, who has incurred a litany of drug-related suspensions since entering the NFL in 2012, was reinstated in August.
