The New England Patriots will arrive at the MetLife Stadium as heavy favorites to extend their winning streak and defeat the New York Jets. However, they will have to play without one of their top offensive playmakers in Josh Gordon.

Mark Reiss listed the Patriots' injury report for their coming Monday Night Football game. By the looks of the players in the list, it seems that the Patriots will have to make some adjustments on their starting players.

Flash Gordon gave the fans a scare when he twisted his knee the wrong way against the New York Jets last time out. Fortunately, he didn't appear to suffer any major injuries. In fact, Ian Rapoport reported that the wideout was even riding a bike on the sideline during the second half of the team's sixth consecutive victory.

However, the most worrying concern for Bill Belichick will have to be the number of wideouts in the report. Two of his tight ends are out due to varying important issues. Not counting Gordon, there are three wideouts who are also questionable to play. Julian Edelman's injury is the most painful for the Patriots offense as he is one of Tom Brady's favorite targets.

This injury dilemma will challenge the Patriots anew. The defense has bailed them out time and time again, but the offense can only last so long without doing work of their own. Brady and Belichick knows what it takes to win Super Bowls, and the current state of their attack is not giving them any breaks.

Moreover, their opponents love the underdog label. Sam Darnold played a fantastic game after leading the Jets to a giant upset against the Dallas Cowboys. They will want to keep the momentum going by taking down another giant.

Gordon's absence will definitely hurt the Pats more than they initially thought it would. However, the Pats will have to prepare against a hungry Jets squad and come up with the win.
