New England Patriots wide receiver Julian Edelman played his first game of the season on Thursday night after serving a four-game suspension for PED's and he was very happy to beat the Indianapolis Colts. Edelman finished the game with seven receptions for 57 yards and seemed to set a tone early in the game that the rest of the offense fed off of.

“I remember when I tore my ACL [in August 2017] and I was sitting back and during the rehab, you’re just sitting there and can’t wait to run out of that tunnel,” Edelman told reporters via Pro Football Talk. “So it was great to get to be able to play with the fellas, it was awesome to get the team win. Obviously we could do a lot better but anytime you go ahead and beat a team in the conference, it’s always great, especially the Colts. We’ll leave it at that.”

The Colts were part of the famous Deflategate game, and it's clear that Edelman and the organization still have some hard feelings. There was a ton of fallout from Deflategate and it has kept a cloud over the Patriots organization.

On paper this game was an easy win for the Colts and most believed that this game could get ugly early, and with a little extra focus from the Patriots this week, that is exactly what happened.

The Patriots offense is finally starting to show balance again, and getting Edelman back is a huge part of that. Are the last two wins just what the Patriots need to continue their dominance of the AFC?
