The New England Patriots made a surprising move recently to acquire troubled wide receiver Josh Gordon from the Cleveland Browns. The move was made to address the lack of a downfield threat for superstar quarterback Tom Brady and add another potent weapon to the offense in New England.

Although it was a questionable move considering Gordon's history, the former Browns star has begun to make an impression on his new team and with his new teammates. Fellow wideout Julian Edelman, who recently returned to the team from suspension, had some interesting remarks about Gordon, via ESPN's Mike Reiss.

“Dude works hard. Great teammate. I really think he can be a really big piece of us,” Edelman said after the team's walkthrough practice in preparation for Sunday night's home game against the Kansas City Chiefs.

“It's exciting to be around him. He loves football, you can tell. He knows his stuff. It's getting more and more fun the more he knows.”

In last week's win over the Indianapolis Colts, Gordon caught his first of potentially many touchdown passes from Brady. The sky is the limit for Gordon if he can get on the same page consistently with the five-time Super Bowl champion.

In Week 6, Gordon and company will face arguably their toughest opponent of the 2018 campaign thus far. The Patriots will go head-to-head with the undefeated Kansas City Chiefs and will likely have to go blow for blow with the best offense in the NFL. Patrick Mahomes has Kansas City firing on all cylinders and will put the defending AFC champions to the test.
