The New England Patriots are in the market for a new quarterback. That's pretty obvious after Tom Brady left the team after 20 seasons. Now that the superstar signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers on a two-year deal, the Patriots are in a weird spot.

And that might lead them to looking to the upcoming 2020 NFL Draft for help.

One quarterback in the draft that has a lot of people intrigued is Jordan Love out of Utah State. And according to Jeremy Fowler of ESPN, New England is indeed one of the several teams doing their “homework” on the quarterback.

“Among teams doing varying levels of homework on Love, according to sources: Miami Dolphins, New Orleans Saints, New England Patriots, Los Angeles Chargers, Green Bay Packers and Washington Redskins, among several others.”

The Patriots definitely should look into Love. However, there's a pretty obvious issue. It looks like other teams are doing the same thing as well.

And even worse, basically all the teams named make sense. The Miami Dolphins have been pretty vocal about their quarterback situation.

Meanwhile, the New Orleans Saints have a 41-year-old Drew Brees and the Green Bay Packers have a 36-year-old Aaron Rodgers. It's unlikely either has all that many seasons left. Although Rodgers could still be around for another five-plus years.

The Los Angeles Chargers lost Philip Rivers this offseason as well, putting them in a similar boat to New England.

In fact, the Washington Redskins are the only team listed that doesn't really make too much sense. Say what you want, but Dwayne Haskins looked good at the end of last season. And the fact that he was the 15th overall pick in 2019 makes you think they'll want to give him a real chance.

Love has been difficult to pin down. He had a great 2018, but struggled in 2019. And it appears some teams are extremely high on him, while others don't think he'll be taken on Day one.

Due to that, it puts the Patriots in a tough spot. Do they stick where they are and if Love falls to them scoop him up? Or do they trade up for the quarterback to ensure no one gets him before them? Or could they be one of the teams that feels he'll be waiting on day two?

There are a lot of questions surrounding Love. But now we at least know that New England is looking for answers.
