It's going to be an exciting afternoon at the Gillette Stadium as the New England Patriots face the Dallas Cowboys. However, they may have to do so without Tom Brady.

The Patriots talisman and six-time Super Bowl champion is facing an opponent he has not faced often: injuries. Tom Pelissero reports that team doctors are going to check his condition and see if he'll be allowed to play against the Cowboys.

Depending on the severity of the elbow issue, Brady may even have to sit out Week 13 against the Houston Texans. Since the elbow is an important body part for a quarterback, forcing to play through injury will only make things worse.

What makes this weird for Patriots fans is the fact that TB12 has been one of their most durable players. The last time he got injured was during the 2008 season, so the Pats enjoyed eleven years seeing Brady throw the football time and time again.

The former Michigan Wolverine will be a big loss to Bill Belichick's team. They've been pedestrian when it comes to their passing offense with Brady, so one can only imagine what it would be like if he's not going to be on the team.

Of course, there are a couple of players in the team who can throw. Jarrett Stidham has always been in the sidelines, ready to step up if needed. If Belichick feels daring, he can even put Julian Edelman back in the pocket.

However, the Patriots prefer to have Brady in there. The champ is definitely doing everything he can to make sure that happens.
