Many people have been questioning why Tom Brady hasn't signed an extension with the New England Patriots yet. Those questions will come to an abrupt end as Brady has signed a two-year extension, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter.

For the past few years, Brady has let it be known that he wants to play until he's 45-years old. His new deal may keep him in New England until he hits that lucky number.

Brady just turned 42-years old on Saturday but he has been able to make adjustments to his game, year in and year out. The longtime Patriots quarterback is in even better shape right now than he was when he was drafted in 2000.

Over his entire career, Brady has played on team-friendly deals that has allowed New England to fill out the roster around him. It'd be surprising to see him change that mindset but if he receives a lucrative deal, he's due for one.

This could possibly be the final contract that Brady signs in his career. New England is coming off of their sixth Super Bowl in franchise history. All of those have come during the Brady/Bill Belichick era.
